Romans Point Kayak Tour
Arch at Romans Point
The Romans Point Sea Cave & Nature Paddle is our most diverse day tour combining sea caves, natural history, and the cultural history of our area. Read more about Romans Point history in our blog.
This tour uses tandem kayaks, but we can accommodate solo participants and odd number groups. Families with children under 14 and/or under 115 lbs. get to use triples! For this option you will need two adult-size paddlers per child who would be a 'rider' in the middle seat. (An adult-size paddler is considered to be at least 14 years old and 115 lbs. Riders must be at least 5 years old and 40lbs.) Read more about kayaking with kids.
If wind makes it unsafe at Romans Point we may reroute your trip to an alternate location. You can read more about our Romans Point Tour on our blog.
We offer two Romans Point tour options...
Romans Point Sea Caves & Nature Paddle - 'Lite'
This tour leaves our beach in Cornucopia to explore the sea caves of Romans Point and the cultural history of the Cornucopia area. Though the Romans Point caves are smaller than those at Meyers Beach, they have way less crowds, allowing us to explore at leisure. On the way back if we have time we'll visit the Lost Creek estuary, a protected waterway with tons of turtles, birds, otters, and wetland plants.
Total tour time is approximately 3.5 hours with 4 miles of paddling.
$75 (Youth 5-13)
$80 (Age 14+) per person
Romans Point (To Point) Sea Caves & Nature Paddle
This our only point to point full day tour! (All others are out and back) We get dropped off at the Bark Bay estuary, paddle the winding Bark River out to the lake, and stop to eat lunch (included) on a secluded beach. Next, we head out and see the Romans Point sea caves while learning about the cultural history of the area. During the final leg of the trip we'll head up Lost Creek to explore the natural area we are named after...then head to our landing in Cornucopia. Total tour time is approximately 6 hours, with 8 miles of paddling.
$155 (Youth 5-13)
$165 (Age 14+) per person
